Graduated in 2000 with a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the University of Karlsruhe, Germany, and in 2005 with a Ph.D. in EE, also from the University of Karlsruhe. Between 1999 and 2000 he worked as a student and junior-engineer at Anaren Microwave in Syracuse, NY, in the satellite commuications R&D department. In 2006 he joined Lucent Technologies (becoming Alcatel-Lucent, then Nokia) in Dublin, Ireland, where he held various positions in Research and Development. In his last position he worked for 5 years as a Department Head for transceiver technologies with teams in Dublin, Ireland, and Paris, France. He is an expert in the area of active and passive antenna systems, filters, power amplifiers and alanog and digital signal processing for mobile communication applications. In February 2021 he joined Globes Electronics as Sales Director in Heilbronn, Germany.
